About Oregon State University

Oregon State University is an international public research university situated in Corvallis, Oregon, USA. It is known to be Oregon’s largest university. The Carnegie Foundation has distinguished universities like Oregon State University as a “Community Engagement” university. It has also defined the university as a doctoral university with a status of ‘highest research activity’. This university is also one of the only three U.S. institutions to attain the titles of sea-grant, space-grant, and sun-grant institutions. The school started offering its college-level curriculum in 1865. This university began its operations as Corvallis College in 1868. Later, the school got permission to offer courses such as Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts.

The university comprises two campuses, 11 colleges, 12 experiment stations, extension programs in all 36 counties, academic programs. The main campus is located over an area of 400 acres.
